Sebago Lake is a perfect landscape for exploring inlets and coves, swimming at the crystal clear beaches and islands, and paddling new clean kayaks, paddle boards and canoes along the bends and twists of the streams and shoreline. Embarking from the Sebago Trails Store (1311 Roosevelt Trail) ensures plenty of parking, places to use the restrooms and change, stock up on refreshments and most importantly, access the water with our handy EZ floating kayak launch!
Maine Covered Bridge Kayak Tour
Experience a classic slice of Maine as we paddle the scenic Presumpscot River to historic Babb's Covered Bridge. Along the way, enjoy peaceful waters, wildlife, and the timeless beauty that has made this waterway a cherished destination. After a brief paddling demonstration lead by a Registered Maine Guide, this outing will begin at the historical Gambo Dam and meander upstream of the Presumpscot River. You will be able to appreciate the quiet sounds of nature as the birds overhead continue south for the winter, fish surface for a snack and the vivid colors pop off the glassy stream. This adventure will continue to the renowned Covered Bridge for a perfect photo opportunity. On the return, the guide will share stories about the immense impact this river had on shaping the Sebago Lakes region in its infancy.
Sebago Lake Discovery: A Nature & History Kayak Tour
Kayak through the natural Maine wilderness and vast lake views for an on the water adventure. This two hour guided tour will begin with a safety briefing and lesson covering the fundamentals of recreational kayaking. Using the EZ launching system at Sebago Trails Paddling, the tour will explore the water-carved bends and twists of a meandering stream, unveiling local wildlife in a rustic backdrop. Then, it will continue onto Jordan Bay of Sebago Lake as the guides share stories dating back to the settlements of the region.
