Sebago Lake Discovery: A Nature & History Kayak Tour
Kayak through the natural Maine wilderness and vast lake views for an on the water adventure. This two hour guided tour will begin with a safety briefing and lesson covering the fundamentals of recreational kayaking. Using the EZ launching system at Sebago Trails Paddling, the tour will explore the water-carved bends and twists of a meandering stream, unveiling local wildlife in a rustic backdrop. Then, it will continue onto Jordan Bay of Sebago Lake as the guides share stories dating back to the settlements of the region. Come for the beautiful lake views and leave with your new favorite hobby! This is a great experience for anyone looking to get outdoors, for a relaxed paced paddle. Perfect for first time kayakers and experienced kayaking enthusiasts. Booking in advance is required, gratuities are not included
Private Group Tour
A tailored experience from our private launch site with a professional guide who will help develop kayaking skills, introduce you to the area, and show you a slice of Maine, all dedicated to just your party. We usually start by introducing your party to the general area and provide orientation for Sebago Lake and Panther Run. We’ll then help everyone get safely on the water using our simple floating EZ Launch system and provide some brief instruction about kayaking, such as proper paddle strokes and how to maneuver. With that out of the way, we’ll proceed up Panther Run for a bit, exploring the scenery and enjoying the wildlife, navigating through its winding waterways against a light current. We’ll then make our way back down, navigate through a marina, and out onto Sebago Lake itself with a ton of history to talk about and broad, beautiful views to take in.
Maine Covered Bridge Kayak Tour
Experience a classic slice of Maine as we paddle the scenic Presumpscot River to historic Babb's Covered Bridge. Along the way, enjoy peaceful waters, wildlife, and the timeless beauty that has made this waterway a cherished destination. After a brief paddling demonstration lead by a Registered Maine Guide, this outing will begin at the historical Gambo Dam and meander upstream of the Presumpscot River. You will be able to appreciate the quiet sounds of nature as the birds overhead continue south for the winter, fish surface for a snack and the vivid colors pop off the glassy stream. This adventure will continue to the renowned Covered Bridge for a perfect photo opportunity. On the return, the guide will share stories about the immense impact this river had on shaping the Sebago Lakes region in its infancy.
