Sebago Trails Paddling Company is open for our third paddling season! Thanks to everyone near and far who has gone out on a paddling adventure in the past – we hope to see you all again soon!

Why Sebago Trails

Located in Windham, ME – the commercial center of, and gateway to, the Sebago Lakes Region of Southern Maine. We are conveniently surrounded by dozens of lakes, ponds, rivers and streams, all of which provide countless opportunities for a variety of paddling experiences.  Paddle under a covered bridge, discover the remains of the old Cumberland and Oxford canal, or paddle through the Songo Locks- the last remaining of 28 hand operated locks built in the 1830’s.  Launch near the locks and follow the Songo River to the “Sandbar” at Sebago Lake State Park. See some of the many birds and animals along the shorelines – you can’t miss the loons!  Come explore the natural beauty and cultural heritage in our own backyard.

We offer a wide variety of new kayaks for rent, with the ability to deliver it to the area launch site or camp where you want to use it. Please check out our competitive rates and delivery information, and feel free to contact us via email or by phone with any questions. Check out our local map for launch points under the Trips and Adventures tab.  Feel free to also suggest locations that we have missed, and we’ll add them as long as they are publicly accessible.

4 White’s Bridge Rd, Windham, ME

Our paddle shop and rental desk is located at the corner of US Rt 302 and White’s Bridge Rd in North Windham, ME, just north of the commercial district along Roosevelt Trail.  From I-95 northbound, take exit 48 and then a right onto Riverside St.  In 1.5 miles take a left onto US Rt. 302.  In 8.3 miles turn left onto White’s Bridge Rd, and an immediate left into our parking lot.   Welcome!   As we are not located on a body of water, all paddle craft have to be transported to a launch site – either by the renter or by Sebago Trails Paddling Company’s delivery service.

Where To Paddle

There are more than 30 places accessible to the public to launch a canoe or kayak within 12 miles from our shop!  They range from large state-owned launch facilities with lots of motorized boat traffic; to small, remote hand-launch sites at local bridge crossings that provide access to quite, unspoiled waterways.  Each location offers its own unique paddling experience and views.  Find a new place each time you go!  Check out our launch map under Trips and Adventures.

Thanks for coming by!  We hope you’ll have as much fun exploring the Sebago Lakes region as we do.
Follow us to the water!
